في الاغلب من المشاريع المُموّلة محليا او من دول مانحة او حتى من متبرعين فرديين,قليل ما نلمس متابعة فعلية و تقييما لمسار المشاريع,و تُعد تلك المشكلة من احدى عوامل التقصير من قبل القيمين على العمل في هذا المجال.

بالمقابل ما يريح استمرارية هكذا نوع هو غض النظر عن الاطراف المعنية في المحاسبة و المساءلة و التقييم بدءا من الراي العام و اصحاب القضية وصولا الى اللجان الشعبية في المخيمات و التي من المفترض ان تُعنى بكل شاردة وواردة و بأدق تفاصيل المشاريع و البرامج المحلية.

مشروع “تطريز” حتى الان,ووفق مسار الخطة المدروسة ,توصل الى استكمال ورش العمل في التصميم المحلي و العالمي على سبيل المثال,وذلك بعد انهاء دورة في التصميم أُعطيت للمدربات,وقد ظهر فيما بعد حاجة في استكمال هذه الدورة مع المتدربات بشكل مباشرة ,كثير من الاسباب يمكن عليها ان تضفي تعديلا جوهريا في خطة العمل,لكن هم قلائل من يتعنّون و يعيدون النظر في الخطة وفق الحاجة و ليس وفق ما يطلبه المُموّل.

مشروع اطلق متجره على الانترنت ,,حيث الاساس هو ابداع المتدربات الفلسطينيات و الرغبة لديهنّ في استكمال المسير حتى ولو قصُرت فتلك مرحلة مثمرة.

اما من الجانب الاخر من مشروع”تطريز” ففريق العمل من مدربات و متدربات ومنسقين في استعداد لحملة سوف ترفعها و تقوم بها و تخطط لها و تطلقها المتدربات انفسهنّ,اي النسوة و ليس المُمول حملة تتكلم عنهن اي قضية تتعلق بالمرأة بحاجة اعادة تسليط الضوء عليها في مخيماتنا و مناصرتها ,من هنا علينا ان لا ننسى مدى احتياج المرأة لكافة اشكال الدعم ,و ان قليل من المساندة يعني لها الكثير,و انها هي القضية!

Mostly from projects funded locally, or from donor countries, or even from individual donors, what we see little actual follow-up and evaluation of the path of the projects, and that refers to default factors by the coordinators of the work in this area.

On the other side, what relaxes the continuity of this concern, is to feel regardless toward the parties involved in the accounting, accountability, and assessment ranging from public opinion and the owners of the issue down to the popular committees in the camps, which are supposed to deal with every detail in each project as well as local programs.

“Tatreez” project so far, and according to the discussed pathway of the plan , that addresses the completion of workshops in the local and global design , for example, after ending the course in the design that was given to the trainers, a need has appeared later to complete this session with trainees , many of the reasons, is that it can deeply enhance the plan of action, but they are just a few who are concerned to reconsider the plan according to need and not according to what requested by the donor.

Project has launched its online shop, where the major theme is the creativity of Palestinian trainees that have the desire to complete this essential path they have selected.

At the other side of “Tatreez” the team work of trainers, trainees, and coordinators are ready to establish a campaign that will be carried out, planned and launched by the trainees themselves, and I mean the women, and not the donor. The campaign talks about them especially any issue concerning women that need to be re-highlighted in our camps as well as showing some advocacy, hence we must not forget how desperate women are to all forms of support, and that a few of the support means a lot, and that is the issue itself!

ما زالت صبحية بقوتها في العمل بالتطريز كما عهدها السابق ,و مازالت تعيش مع زوجها الذي ما استراح لحظة الا و سبقها بكوم من التعنيف اللفظي او الجسدي سابقا.

عندما تسأل صبحية عن عملها و طموحها الان تجيب: ما زلت قادرة على فعل شيئ اي شيئ لن اتردد,نظرا لما عانته من ابتزاز معلن كما باقي النسوة في المخيمات الفلسطينية او حتى في المجتمعات الصغيرة الفقيرة المرتبطة لقمة عيشهن بلقمة عيش و مزاجية رب الاسرة ,فكيف اذا كان عمله و جميع ما يحصله و هو على خط الفقر لا يؤدي ل 9 اولاد.

صبحية و التي انهت حياتها و هي في المراهقة و ذلك بارتباطها برجل فلسطيني المظهر,شرقي الطينة,و الذي كان يصب جميع نعوته الشرقية و تزمته الذ كوري الواهم, بمعناها السلبي عليها جاعلا منها عبدة و مفشة خلق عند فشله,ارادت الان و تريد ان تفتح مشروعها الخاص,و حتى و ان لم تقدر فهي تجيئ و تذهب و تطرز و تعرض منتوجاته,و تصرف على نفسها و لا تنتظر منه الجواب.

تؤكد صبحية ان من لم يملك مهنة او حتى شهادة قد يضطر للقبول بادنى مستويات مستويات العيش الكريم و اكثره ظلما ,فهي لم يكن بامكانها ان ترحل و تستقل تاركة ورائها كوما من الاطفال تعجز عن اطعام واحد منهم.

صبحية تدعم المشروع و هي من عناصر المشروع الاوائل  المتمسكين بكل مشروع يقوي المرأة و يساعدها على تدبر شؤونها ,استفادت بالدرجة الاولى اولا انها استطاعت ان تقضي كما من الوقت بالتعاونيات و التدريب و العمل المفيد بدلا عما كانت تقضيه بالعراك العبثي مع زوجها,

ثانيا و هي تلك المتمردة استطاعت ان تكسر حاجز الخوف الاخير بعد فترة من الركود في وجه من ذللها سنوات طوال و ان لا تعتبر له رايا عندما يكون ظالم مثلا بمنعها من المشاركة في التدريبات او التعاونية,فكان المشروع من اخر الاحداث المهمة في حياتها و المثمرة,لم يتطلب الامر سوا ارادة صبحية و مشروع اتى ليطور موهبتها في التطريز,فقد ساعدها بعض المردود المتواضع حتى الان من “تطريز” من التخلي عن بعض المتطلبات الخاصة من الزوج ,و بالمقابل صنع قرارها بنفسها,فقد ظهر ان الامر الناهي في منازلنا هو الاقتصاد و ليس الرجل,فكما تنتج انت انا ايضا و كما تصرف انا ايضا عندها,ليس من حقك الاستفراد بالقرار.

Trainee in “Tatreez” project, Ein Helwi branch, from the Safouri, Palestinie, 60 years old, married, and has 16 grandsons.

She is still lively and actively working as she was before and yet still living with her husband that has never stopped to assault her verbally and physically.

When we asked her about her ambitions, she answers “I’m still capable of doing anything; I won’t look back to the extortion I have suffered from before, the same as other Palestinian women in the camps, or even in some other small poor communities, were women are totally dependent, especially financially on such a moody husband. And imagine if all he gets at the end of the month is never enough to feed his 9 kids.”

Sobhiyi, the teenager, has locked her life into a gloomy marriage, of an apparently Palestinian man, with the close-minded eastern mentality, who is strictly believes in the concept of masculinity in its negative aspect. Turning his wife into a slave to satisfy commands. Sobhiyi, the struggler, still wants to start her own business, and even if she couldn’t, she will continue to satisfy herself financially by doing embroidering and marketing her own products, without depending on such husband.

She assures that who doesn’t own a profession or a certificate, may probably going to accept living under injustice and exploitation. She couldn’t leave, just because of the poor children; she can’t escape and let them suffer alone.

Sobhiyi encourages the project, and she is one of the most important and active members participating in it, and holding on it tight, since it empowers her to manage her matters. She mainly took a benefit in socializing in the cooperatives, and being a trainer, instead of spending her days fighting for something worthless with such a negative husband.

Furthermore, she could finally break all her fears, after years of suffering. He tried to stop her from participating in the project’s activities, but she never listened to him and she kept struggling. For her the project is from the last important events in her life. It all depends on her willingness. The project is her e to improve her skills in Tatreez, where the humble income it provided, helped her to take decisions and depend on herself. And as we see nowadays, money is the boss, and never the man. A woman to a man “you are productive, I am productive too, you can spend the money, well I can too, so it is not only to take the decision!”

تعمل الان في سيفيز موندي كخبيرة تصميم و تطريز قامت بدورة للمتدربات منذ سنة اما الان فهي تدقق و تراقب.

قبل التحدث عن القطبة و انتقاد مستوى التطريز و جودة الاقمشة,انتقدت هايكا الانتماء!

فبرئيها ,الافضل ان يكون الانتماء موحّد لاجل توحيد القوة فالان الاولى هو ولاء المجموعة و ليس المؤسسة التي لا يسمن و لا يغني من جوع ولاؤنا لها.

نلاحظ من كلام المدربة و الخبيرة في اخر زيارة لها للمشروع بعد وصول المتدربات الى مرحلة الانتاج و التسويق,نلاحظ انها تترجم الصورة كاملة,فهناك تأثير واضح من  المؤسسات على حياتنا و عملنا ,يعيق العمل والانفتاح على الشريك الاخر او المُموّل ,و هنا علينا الا نضيع الفرصة لاننا نملك الادوات كاملة,ادوات التطريز كمهنة من القطبة للتسويق,كي نتخطى الهالة الوهمية التي استطاعت كل مؤسسة قدمت للمخيم نيّف مما تحصل عليه ,و هذا ما يجب ان تمارسه متدربات مشروع تطريز,الوحدة و الانتماء,فلا تنحصر لقمة العيش في زاوية الجلاد,الا عندما نريد.

خبيرة التطريز هايكا عملت مسبقا في مخيم اليرموك و في القرى السورية الفقيرةو  البدائية جداا,او الان تستطيع في مخيم عين الحلوة ان توجه النقد في مكانه المناسب لدى المتدربات,من خلال عدد من الورش العمل التي لم تتخط20.

Heike Weber, German expert in embroidery and design. She has a sewing and embroidery workshop in Syria since 1988, Mrs. Weber is the owner of Anat Foundation.

She works now with Cives Mundi, as a design & embroidery expert. She gave the participant of “Tatreez” a training workshop last year, and now she is following up with their achievements and evaluating the work.

Before getting to talk about the quality of Tatreez stitches or the fabrics used in the work, Heike criticized the concept of belonging. For her better to have a uniform belonging to unite force. First is, the loyalty of the group and not the institution that with or without it we still suffer & struggle.

Hence we may notice that Mrs. Weber translates the scene exactly with her words, after her last visit to the project, where the participants had reached producing & marketing level. Noting that these associations has some noticeable effect on our daily life & careers; in which they may act as hampering work and openness to the other partner or financier. So we must not waste the opportunity, since we possess all the needed tools, where we transferred the basic stitch into a lifetime profession, to overcome such monopolizers; associations. To do all of that “Tatreez” participants have to get united all together with one belonging, to finally be financially independent.

The expert Heike, has worked before in Al Yarmouk camp & other poor sites in Syria, but she can really criticize very logically regarding the work of the trainees, especially after giving a number not less than 20 training course.

دائما ما يلجأ الفقراء لصناعة كل ما هو يدوي  اولا لان الحاجة تدفعهم فهم لا يملكوا ادوات انتاج,وما ورثوه  عن اجدادهم هو راس مال حرفي,فتصبح هذه الحرفة التي كانت مسبقا تستعمل كاي ادوات عيش اي حاجة ,تصبح فيما بعد في شق الكماليات وليس من الاساسيات التي لا يشتريها الا الذي لديهم فائض من المال,تصبح قيّمة في مجتمعات تحتكرها الالة , فالحاجة ام الاختراع فكيف اذا كانت الحاجة لشعب بذكاء الشعب الفلسطيني , يختلط ذكائه بمعاناته و اصراره على البقاء و المقاومة .

اعوائق الفلسطيني الحرفي في الشتات: صعوبة الحرفي في بيع المنتجات محليا,لان معظم المجتمع المحلي الحاضن اي بيئة الحرفي نفسها,تكون على نفس خط الفقر ,فمن منهم سوف يشتري قطع باهظة الثمن لسد رغبة و هناك حاجة لم تسد بعد؟!
فهذه الحرفة بالطبع باهظة الثمن نسبة لطاقة يستنزفها الحرفي عليها و تعب حواس لا يملك سواها حتى تعيله.
نعود للعائق الثاني الذي يظهر عند محاولة التسويق خارجيا خارج المجتمع الحاضن,و حتى خارج البلد الفقير,اي في الدولة التي يلاقي شعبها متعة في شراء ما يندر بوجود التهم الضخمة.
تسويق المنتجات احد اكبر التحديات التي تواجه المجتمعات الصغيرة مثل المخيمات الفلسطينية , و عليه من الواجب البدء بالبحث عن اسواق جديدة و بأفق اكبر و حتى خارج حدود البلد المضيف , و الحلول تكون بشقين شق داخلي و شق خارجي , الداخلي و هو تعليم الحرفي التسويق و الخارجي هو البحث من خلال علاقات عن ادوات هذا التسويق مثل المعارض و المحال التجارية الضخمة المختصة .
تعاونية نسائية لمنتوجات حرفية تكونت فكرتها من خلال مشروع تطريز , حيث يتم دمج تعلم فنون التسويق بالاضافة الى محاولات افتتاح اسواق خارجية,هذا جزء مما يقدمه مشروع تطريز الان, و الذي ينبغي علينا الاستفادة منه قدر الامكان,الا ان الامر المحاولات الجدية في النهوض بهذه الحرف التراثية لم تأت حتى الان لا من قبل المؤسسات التي تعمل في مخيماتنا و التي معظمها اصبح يبغى الربح و لا من فصائل,فكل ما في الامر معارض روتينية و ربح مقسم!,,

Poor people mostly resort to handmade industry, first the need push them to do so, because they don’t possess the means of production, and did not inherit anything from their ancestors but this handicraft. This handicraft had been used before as a tool for living, while now it’s just  under the incision of luxury, and isn’t considered as a daily basis, in which only the rich can afford to purchase it. As a result, we can say it is only valuable in communities monopolized by the machine! As the popular quote “The need is the mother of invention” and especially highlighting on the need of Palestinian people, a need that is mixed with a sense of intelligence. But even though they suffer, they were and still maintaining unstoppable resistance and steadfastness.

Consequently: the craftsman struggle to market his products locally, since his local community share low purchasing power. So who will ever think in a buying a fancy handmade scarf! While they have never touched the meaning of a fancier life at all!

Back to the second obstacle appears when they try to market products externally, to some country far away the boundaries they have been living in, maybe a country with people who can freely afford the things they produce.

Marketing their products is one of their biggest challenges that get in the way of humble communities like Palestinian camps. It is supposed for that Palestinian to start looking over some new market to target them, and to dream bigger, even far away the host country. Hence, the solutions are two, internally; to instruct and train this craftsman the techniques of marketing, and externally; to enlighten him to start building some new relations, new people, and new tools of marketing like exhibitions, and maybe some well known international specialty shops.

Throughout “Tatreez” project, a craftsman cooperative is established, in which it is working on achieving both marketing techniques instruction, and the way into accessing external markets.

اطالوا الوقت في المفاوضات منذ ثلاثة و عشرون عاما حتى الان,و ما زالوا روّادها بعد ان اعلنوا تخليهم عن البندقية ,لم تندثر ثقافة المقاومة كما لم يندثر تراثنا الفلسطيني,لم تُخلق المرأة الفلسطينية في الشتات الا للكد و النضال كما لم نلق نعتا اخر للاجئ الفلسطيني سوا المارد النائم,بعد ان وشمت ظروف الشتات على جبينه هذه الصفة.

هذا ما قاله نائب قائد الامن الوطني في لبنان اللواء منير المقدح ضمن مقابلة اجراها موقع “تطريز”

ان ما تصر عليه القادة العليا في الداخل من استمرار في الشكل المعتاد للمفاوضات و الذي لا يمت بالاخص للشتات الفلسطيني بعلاقة ,لم يجعل من الفلسطينين و الفلسطينيات الا مواقد قابلة للاشتعال.

لم يستطع المقدح فصل المقاومة عن البندقية عن التراث الفلسطيني عن المرأة ,بكل مراحل النضال و الجبهات ,مشجعا فكرة و هدف مشروع “تطريز” داعما لعمل المرأة اينما وُجدت و باي عمر كان,

ان ما يعمل عليه مشروع “تطريز” هو المساهمة في نشل عدد من النسوة الفلسطينيات في الشتات اللواتي تحكمهنّ ظروف عيش قاهرةمن خلال اكسابهن مهنة يرتزقن منها و يشعرن بالاستقلالية مع الاستمرار بنشرتراثنا عبر القطبة الفلسطينية,فكما حاجة المرأة اليوم للمجتمع و اطراف الحكم المحلي,هناك حاجة عكسية ,لان لم تكن يوم ثورة و لا جبهة و لا عمل تقدمي تُختزل المرأة اوفيه تهمّش .فالمرأة الفلسطينية معروفة منذ عصور بمشاركتها الرجل في العمل و هي كانت سندا حقيقيا له كما يقول اجدادنا عن البلاد..ولا اصلاح مجتمعي حقيقي دون وجود للمرأة التي هي اخت او رفيقة او ام و زوجة و نظرتنا الحقيقية يجب ان تكون لها اقوى ممّا نعيشه فهي الام التي تنجب الابطال و الشهداء على درب التحرير,فالام مدرسة ان اعددتها..اعددت جيلا طيب الاعراق.

من هنا يجب بناء اولا جيلا جديد قبل النظر الى فلسطين.

من هنا يجب اولا بناء جيل جديد قبل النظر الى فلسطين في الافق,و من ثم مؤسسات حقيقة متينة و موحدة تعمل ضمن نطاقنا و حاجتنا ضمن الحياة المفروضة ,وقبلها أمن المخيم,و ضمن هذا المرأة من اهم و اول العناصر المشاركة في جميع المؤسسسات ضمن الفصائل و ضمن جبهات القتال و ضمن العمل في المطبخ,هذا ما ورد عن المقدح.

فاذا لم نعمل على امن المخيم و مؤسساته و دعم المرأة الفلسطينة ,و توحيد الموقف الفلسطيني على الصعيد اللبناني و ازالة كافة الشوائب و الثغرات,لن نقدر حتى على النظر لافق تكون فيه فلسطين.

تتماشى فكرة المشروع مع اراء الكثير من المعنيين في المخيم,الا ان المرأة بعنوانها العريض ما زالت تأخذ الحيز و العنوان الارفع على الرغم من بروز بعضهن في العمل السياسي و المؤسساتي,الان انها القليلات اللّواتي يصلن الا مراتب عليا,او يستطعن التغيير فعليّا بالقرارات,و هذا ما يحاول المشروع العمل عليه من خلال لفت النظر للاستقلالية المادية و دورات في المنصارة لحقوق هُمّشت او اصبحت منسية او تهميشها اصبح طبيعي كما يُوضع طبق الفول على جانب السفرة عند وضع الكنافة !

They have been negotiating since 23 years ago. Although they have given up on holding guns, yet the concept of resistance hasn’t faded away the same as our Palestinian heritage. Palestinian woman was born to resist and struggle, and the Palestinian refugee is mostly called a “sleeping giant”, that is what he has become as a result of living in the diasporas.

Well, that’s what the chief deputy of national security in Lebanon, Major General Mr. Mounir ElMakdah has said during an interview done for “Tatreez”.

The instant form of negotiations that the supreme leaders insist on in the interior, especially in the Diasporas of Palestinians, has made those Palestinians flammable stoves.

Mr. Makdah couldn’t separate the concept of resisting from the guns, and Palestinian tradition, and the Palestinian woman, at all the levels of rebel and battle fields. General Makdah encourages Tatreez project objective, as well as supports the working woman wherever she is, and no matter how old she is.

What Tatreez project is working on is aiding to skim a good number of the Palestinian women who lives in the Diasporas, and being controlled by hard conditions, through empowering them with a profession that can enhance their independence, and sustain their finance. That’s all by spreading our Palestinian tradition, by embroidering Palestinian stitches. There is a correlation here; both the woman and the society needs and depend on one another. All battle fields and major victories can’t be accomplished while putting the woman in the margin line. Palestinian woman is known since ages, for her participating with her man in the work field, as she has been a real support for him. As our grandfathers say, no societal reform can be achieved without the presence of the woman, a sister, a mate, and a wife. We should look at her in a different way, since she is the mother that gives life to real heroes and martyrs on the path of liberation. A very famous quotation say, a woman is a school in herself, if we believe in her, we can raise a better generation for the best nation.

From here we have to build a new generation, before looking high above the sky in Palestine. And then to form real associations to be united together that touches our needs in this life and work on them, noting first the security of the camp, to illustrate how the woman is the very first party who is participating in the associations within factions and battlefronts, not forgetting her housekeeping participation. That’s what Mr. Makdah has added.

If we didn’t work on the security of the camp and its associations, as well as supporting the Palestinian woman, plus unifying the Palestinian attitude towards the Lebanese aspect, while erasing all of the blemishes in the way, we will not be able to look in a better future for Palestine to be in it.

The objective of tatreez project goes well with many opinions of responsible parties in the camp, thus the woman in herself is still very cautious in the overall, even with her participation in the political and social domain. Very little slice of women can reach some high positions, or are able to take decisions. That is what the objective is mainly working on through highlighting on her financial in-dependency as a must, by giving courses that supports her rights, that nowadays are somehow forgotten, or being marginalized, exactly as a bowl of macaroni in front of grilled turkey!

لم تقتنع يوما اي من النساء الفلسطينيات في مخيماتنا بالطمأنينة الاقتصادية,فحرمان الفلسطيني من حقه بالعمل في لبنان شكل مع الوقت عامل تهديد لكل الفئات الفلسطينية من ارباب المنازل للنساء للشباب,مما دفع عددا من النسوة اللواتي لا يملكن شهادات ولا حتى مهنة للعمل بصفة عاملة اما في مصنع ما و اما في مدرسة,لتصبح هي المعيل الاول و الوحيد للعائلة.

تماشيا مع الازمة كانت و ما زالت المرأة التي لم تحميها المؤسسات و الجمعيات و لا حتى الفصائل من خطر التهميش او التهديد الاقتصادي كما هو الواجب, كانت المرأة و اللاجئة و العاملة و الناشطة,راضية بما تتقاضاه من اجر بخس مقابل الكد عند رب عمل ما ,ليكفيها ان تمرر يومها.

منور فايز عثمان لا تملك مهنة ام لسبعة اولاد  زوجة لرجل مريض و عاطل عن العمل منذ زمن ,هي العاملة في احدى المحلات التجارية في مدينة صبدا و التي تعلم اولادها و تسدد اجار المنزل و تكتفي بلقمة العيش المتواضعة.تعاهدت مع نفسها الا تجعل اولادها يمارسون اي من المهن المذلة مُعتبرة ان المهنة المذلة تلك التي لا تحتاج لشهادة تعليم و باجر قليل و تحت رحمة رب العمل الذي يمكنه الاستغناء عنها في اي لحظة,رافضة ايضا تعلُّم مهنة الان فلا الوقت لصالحها و لا عمرها يساعدها تقول: ان تعلمت مهنة الان سأصبح بلا عمل , و هي المعيل الوحيد

 لم تغريها فكرة و لا هدف مشروع ” تطريز” باكتساب مهنة حرفية ضمن المخيم , بقدر ما يغريها معاش اكثر بنسبة اقل!دعونا  نرى الحقيقة كما هي هناك الكثير من منوّر داخل مشروع تطريز” و اللواتي يلزمهن الكثير من الدعم حتى يبددن  هاجس الخوف من القدرة على العيش,يتطلب الامر دورات عدة في الاختصاص وربما دورات اكثر في اعادة الطموح,و هذا ما يقوم به المشروع ,فقد انهى حتى الان عدد من ورش العمل بما يخص الخياطة و التطريز و الكوي ,و التسويق ,و اقيمت ثلاث تعاونيات من اجل المتدربات ,من هنا علينا ان نستغل الفرصة الاولى حتى نتمكن من باقي الفرص التي سوف نخلقها نحن,فمخيماتنا الفلسطينية بظروفها الاستثنائية تماشيا مع القوانين اللبنانية المجحفة بحقنا بحاجة لمشاريع انتاجية ,اكثر منها لعدد وفير من الجمعيات و المؤسسات التي لم تقدم الا للمرأة الا اغنيات و كورسات متراصة تتحدث عن حقها بدلا من البدء في العمل لاجله

The idea of being safe and economically secured isn’t existed in the minds of the Palestinian women in the camps. Depriving Palestinians from their right to work in Lebanon had been threatening all of them, adults, young ages, and specifically women. That pushed many of uneducated and unemployed women to go and work in schools or corporations something less than their ambition, just to cover the financial needs of their families.

This woman and with all the circumstances she is passing through is still unprotected and exploited at all aspects mostly economically by NGO’s and other parties. But with all that she is, the woman, the refugee, the hard worker, and the activist; who has no choice but to accept the few bucks she takes just to pass her days.

Manawar F. Othman, unemployed housewife for 7 kids and a disabled husband. So Mnawar works in some shop in Saida, South Lebanon, teaches her children, and pays all house expenses to unfortunately just cook a meal less than humble. She never accepts to let her children work out, because she doesn’t want them to feel humiliated at all. In her opinion she prefers them to finish their education and share some reputable experiences in order to feel self esteemed and never humiliated in these kinds of jobs. Mnawar doesn’t think that learning a profession now at her age is helpful for her, she says if I will learn something I will be workless, and I am the only to cover the financial needs.

Never attracted to the idea of “Tatreez” project to own a profession inside of the camp, as much as she is attracted by the idea of having a great amount of income. Let us figure out the truth behind all that, since Mnawar isn’t the only one to think this way. Those women need a lot of support and encouragement in order to break down their fears and obsessions. This will require a lot of training courses in major related topics, and maybe some lectures to bring the sense of ambition back to them. That is exactly what “Tatreez” is working on. Until now it has accomplished many workshops including sewing and ironing, plus marketing. In addition to establishing three craftsmen cooperatives for the participants. So from here we have to catch the first opportunity and to start the real work, to end up with so many different opportunities. Our Palestinian camps with its extra-ordinary circumstances,regardless of the unfair Lebanese law, needs a lot of productive projects. And rather than words, we need real acts! Palestinian woman is more than satisfied knowing her rights, she just needs working on establishing them.

بدءاً من الحلم و الارادة  انهى مشروع “تطريز” دورة التسويق التي اعطتها شركة الايميد ايست وهي عبارة عن سلسلة من ورش العمل المتتالية في مخيم (عين الحلوة و الرشيدية و اخيرا البارد).

حيث أُعطيت المواد المطلوبة من اجل المنافسة و الربح و ربطها بالعمل الجماعي كفريق تطريز في كل مخيم او حتى على الصعيد الفردي من اجل المشاريع الفردية.

لم تتلق متدربات البارد المعلومات و حسب, بل اسقطن عوامل الربح و المنافسة و المعطيات العلمية كما هي بدائرة واقع المخيم ليكون البدء بالارادة و الحلم .لم تكن ارائهن نفسها قبل الدورات و لا المعنويات حيث توضحت الصورة عن السابق ,فالمرأة المهددة اقتصاديا و التي لا تمتلك مهنة تجنبها خطر الاستغلال على انواعه تعيش حالة من التردد عند اول فرصة جدية.

بددت هذه الدورة بعض من هواجس الخوف التي تراكمت لديهن منذ دهر,فأما ان نبدأ من الحلم الصغير لنكمل بالمبادرة متسخدمين كافة حواسنا و اما ان نبق حيث نحن!المتدربة سامية مصلح

فنشر الثقافة يتطلب جهد و اكتساب مهنة  يتطلب جهد مضاعف و العمل في نشر ثقافة وطن بأكمله عن من خلال التراث و اعتماده مهنة في الوقت نفسه ضمن عناصر و مقومات اللجوء المهترئة يتطلب نوع من النضال.

“تطريز” و هو المشروع الاول من نوعه الذي يهدف لمحاربة استغلال المرأة اقتصاديا في مخيماتنا, ومناهضة تهميش المرأة  من قبل بعض الاطراف و الجمعيات و الاشخاص, عبر تدريب اكثر من 120 امرأة من المطلقات و الارامل على تطريز تراثنا الفلسطيني و اقامة تعاونيات في كل مخيم .

هو واحد من المشاريع التي تهتم بالمرأة تُعنى بتطوير قدراتها و صقل مهاراتها  ,فالمرأة العاملة في مجتمعنا هي نفسها المشاركة في الهئيات السياسية و من اجل ذلك لا ثقاقة تعلو ثقافة المساواة و هذا ما يحاول المشروع ترويجه و تحاول المتدربات الوصول اليه .

Throughout the dream and willingness, “Tatreez” has finished its marketing training course that included successive workshops in the three camps (Ein Helwi, Rashideyi, and Naher Bared) that was performed by AIMED East.

All the needed topics had been discussed in the sake of competition and profitability, while coordinating that with the concept of “teamwork” in all cooperatives or individually for later solo projects.

The participants in Naher Al Bared shared a lot of experiences about the main practical factors about the issues discussed in the training. All having different views and dreams as their starting points. But as we said before those women don’t own independent professions to live comfortably away from exploitation, so they basically fear to go on once a new opportunity is given.

This training course broke down some of the main fears and obsessions that had been accumulated in their minds for so long. Expressing to them that we have only two options, whether to start initiating and working by using all our potentials, or keep on waiting for the unknown! That’s what agreed on the trainer and the participant in the course, Mrs Samiya Mosleh.

Spreading “Tatreez” culture is a recipe that needs great effort, and initiation, with a sprinkle of the spirit of struggle. So it is obvious a hardworking recipe to reach a profession under the bad social circumstances.

“Tatreez” is the first of its kind that aims to protect the economically exploited woman in our camps, and that stood against women marginalization by NGO’s and other parties, through its training course for more than 120 women (divorced, widow..) including Traditional Palestinian Tatreez,  in addition to establishing cooperatives in the three camps.

“Tatreez” is one of the projects that care about the woman to develop her potentials, and improve her skills. The working woman in our community is the same one who participates in political authorities. So after all, equality is the base, and that’s what “Tatreez” promotes, and what the participants’ aims to reach.

“تطريز” و هومشروع يهدف لحماية فئة من النساء في عدد من المخيمات ضمنها مخيم نهر البارد,من خلال اكسابهن مهنة متقنة,فيجمع عدد من النسوة في التعاونية التي اقامها المشروع,للتدريب على طريقة تقنية في غرز القطب و الخياطة و التطريز,مما يعطي النسوة هناك فسحة من حياة ربما تجددت و ربما ما زال تجديدها قيد التنفيذ.

ان التطريز بما يحمله من دلالة على هيوتنا الفلسطينية حيث يُعتبر من اهم و اصعب انواع التراث الفلسطيني,موجود في كل زاوية من مخيماتنا في الشتات ,بالرغم من صعوبة الحياة ,فقد جاء مشروع تطريز ليضيف على خبرة المرأة الفلسطينية من عوامل و دروس تتعلق بامكانيتها على التسويق بشكل افضل من اجل استقطاب المهتمين و المساهة في استمرارية نشر تراثنا,و من هنا تتمكن هذه المرأة من الاستمرار اقتصاديا و المحاربة وحدها دون ان تضعفها اهم مقومات الحياة و هي الاقتصاد.

مشروع تطريز تخللته عدد من الدورات في التصميم و الخياطة و التوسيق..حيث اُنشئت ثلاث تعاونيات في عين الحلوة و البارد و الرشيدية ,كخطوة في البدء في العمل المستقل الجماعي.

Successfully ended in the south, and recently started in Naher Bared Camp. Although you might feel somehow upset by witnessing all of the damage there! But we are fully enthusiastic to check up our Palestinian woman out there.

“Tatreez” project aims to protect a piece of women in the camps including Naher Bared one, through providing them the best profession. So the project collects a group of women in an established cooperative for a professional training about sewing, stitching, and making tatreez, which all gives these women a kind of renewed life.

“Tatreez” and with what it contributes to our Palestinian identity is considered as one of the most important and hard traditional work to be done, thus it is still found in almost everywhere in the Diaspora areas, the camps. Regardless of the hard life there, “Tatreez” came to sprinkle up a mix of courses related to the potentials of women in for marketing in better techniques, in order to attract a big slice of customers, and to support spreading our tradition and heritage. So from here, this woman is capable to survive economically and socially, without feeling exploited in any aspect.

This project has provided many courses in sewing, designing, and marketing, where three cooperatives had been established in Ein Helwi, Naher Bared, and Rashideyi, as a basic step into reaching independent group work.
